Madame Rêve Café: a sublime 5-star hotel’s café in the former Louvre Post Office
In the heart of the capital a stone’s throw from the Bourse du Commerce and the Samaritaine department store, the former Louvre Post Office has come back to life after 9 years of work with the opening of Madame Rêve hotel.
On the ground floor, “Madame Rêve Café” is a sumptuously decorated late 19th/ early 20th century-style brasserie evoking yesteryear “Parisian chic” and serving a contemporary Mediterranean cuisine.
A leafy rooftop commands stunning views of its hanging garden, Paris and some of the capital’s most emblematic monuments such as the Eiffel Tower.
A wide choice of succulent Mediterranean fish or meat dishes served with fresh quality products include a mouth-watering sea bass tartare accompanied by crunchy fennel and Sicilian capers, or a delicious Carnaroli risotto with chanterelles, highlighted by a pumpkin cream and balsamic vinegar.
For those with a sweet tooth, desserts from the “Pierre Hermé” collection include delights such as the Bûche Ispahan or Cheesecake Suzette.
As night falls, the lights dim to create a particularly intimate atmosphere ideal to discover one of the establishment’s signature cocktails.
